How to Succeed
Mr. Abe, Mr. Sheehy, Ms. Stackhouse:
- Homework: Make sure to do your homework. Remember, every assignment matters.
- Tests: It is vital that you memorize the study guide terms before each unit test. Also, make sure to briefly read the textbook chapters of each unit and to review the notes.
- Participation: Update your binder daily throughout each unit. This preparation will ensure you get a 100% on binder checks (which count for participation). Also, make sure to participate in debates. Participation is partially subjective, so make sure to stay on good terms with your teacher. Try to be on time to class - The teachers tend to dislike students who are frequently late. Most importantly, do not speak when your teacher is lecturing.
- Final: Since the final is only weighted as 12-15% of your grade, it cannot make a large impact on your grade; therefore, you should already have the grade that you want before taking the final. Study for the final as you would for any other test in this class (study guides, notes, textbook readings). Remember that the recent units are emphasized on the final.
