How to Succeed
Mr. Yim/Ms. Loeffler:
- Homework: 15% of grade. Homework for a unit is usually collected around the test date, so it is easy to procrastinate. However, doing so will lower your test grades significantly and is risky, since the date homework is collected changes often.
- Tests: 70% of grade. Tests in this class are very hard, arguably even harder than tests in AP Calculus AB, and are a big step up from tests in Algebra 2 Honors. Solely studying the night before quizzes/tests will guarantee a grade below an A, and since quizzes/tests are weighted so heavily, they have a strong correlation to overall grades.
- Final: 15% of grade. Do not count on the final to bring your grade up, since that very rarely happens. Most people get approximately their test average on the final, so study hard throughout the semester, because the final will not save you.
